Satisfaction Vs Requirment

Well! to start with let me define what does satisfaction mean and how is it related to the requirment as such.Whatever we do today, we are guided by some motive,be it personal or public or momentarirly.Today, we take things as they come to us.Yes, we have a plan ,but we succumb to the diring needs of day-to-day materialistic things, which sometimes, overpowers our plan and sometimes objective too.The idea is that we have become very flexible in our approach and thinking. We want to live today's life with much comfort and happiness and leave alone thinking of future. What will happen in future?- is no more a worry for us.We do everything that suits the moment right now and we take decisions based on short term goals or say for the fulfillment of a newly arrived need. All our actions have been guided by that only.Requirments drives our personal as well as professional aspirations. We keep on changing the goals that we had set earlier(to acheive something unrealistic but close to our heart). We forget the real flavor of satisfaction.Since, we are guided by short term goals and most important fulfilling near requirements, we are never happy. And when we are never happy, we are never satisfied.
From my discussions above, i dont try to conclude that it is a wrong thing to do(like fulfuling requirements or being flexible is wrong.).What I am trying to say is that we have lost direction of life by messing these two words in our life(satisfaction and requirment).PLanning a big goal is alright, but striving for it and sticking towards it till the last moment is even more important.TOday in this cut throat competitive world,we want to have everthing in a very short span of time because your collegues or friends or family members have achieved it.But, then we forget that every one has his own aspirations and dreams and the effort that he pays is rewarded only when he is well balanced by all sides.Who knows that a successful Dhirubhai would have wanted something else, but ultimately ended as a business tycoon. We consider him as successful, but it is not necessary that he would have considered it be his dream too.Success comes through experience. It is the attainment of a certain level after which we really dont require any thing. We are satisfied. For me, success is attainment of long-term satisfaction. This definition differs from person to person and has different perspective too.
Its high time in our career that we get driven by what we want and not by short term gains and objectives.Eye should be fixed on the target and in between it should be hard rock determination to achieve that goal.Yes, we should be flexible too, but not that much as it changes our determination too.We should have back-ups too since any accomplishment of a big target requires so much of devotions and dedications and many setbacks. So, a correct ethical and pragmatic measure will be to have a proper alternative thought and visioned well in advance.Enjoying is important but keeping an eye on the ultimate goal and not dettered by lovely bubbly distractions is even more important.Buddha discovered truth under the 'BODHI-TREE' and for him that was attainment of satisfaction. He was free from the chains of requirments.Likewise, every human should clearly define how he is going to attain that satisfaction .
Purpose of this post is to be a motivating factor to myself and my dear frenz who are in my state of this change. And I think that this change had to come some day in life and we should be very happy to embrace this.Looking forward to everyone's bright future.
